Join us at Illahe Vineyards as we celebrate pollinators and plants! Native plants provide multi-functional benefits to the land by bolstering biodiversity and providing habitat for pollinators and beneficial insects. We’ll start by listening to OSU’s post-grad students Jen Hayes and Nicole Bell as they give an overview on bees and discuss what species you may find in your home garden, native plants’ role and how to support biodiversity in your own backyard!
We’ll also walk the vineyard grounds and hear from the owner of Illahe about their work to support pollinators. Jen and Nicole will help us catch bees! Guests will learn how to ID and distinguish species and better understand the relationship between the plants and pollinators.
Guests will leave with a free native seed packet for pollinators. There will be plenty of resources to take home. Illahe will be pouring wine for purchase after our walk, so please feel free to stick around and enjoy!
