Pollinator Seed mix
10 grams
A unique balance of annuals and perennials (native to the Willamette Valley) that will provide season long bloom for multiple years! This custom mix contains species that are recommended by the Xerces Society and the Natural Resources Conservation Service to attract a diverse array of native pollinators. This mix performs well on upland and seasonally wet areas (some species will not tolerate standing water for weeks at a time in winter). A small amount of native bunchgrass has been added to provide structure and habitat for ground-nesting bees.
This mix is suitable for Oregon's Willamette Valley north through western Washington.
Species include: California poppy, Globe gilia, Farewell to spring, Showy tarweed, Western buttercup, Self heal, Puget sound gumweed, Oregon sunshine, Rose checkermallow, Yarrow, Showy milkweed, California oatgrass, Roemer's fescue
Sowing instructions- 10 grams covers 100 sq ft with 50 seeds per foot. Scatter seed on loose-weed free soil anytime between September and November or in March. Seed can be lightly raked in to increase seed-to-soil contact, but be careful not to cover the seed with more than 1/4" soil.
